Prince Harrys luscious new hair chopped by critics: Looks like a fool

Prince Harry seems to have had a little photoshopping help in a new headshot released by his life coaching tech company, BetterUp.

The Duke of Sussex – who is Chief Impact Officer of the organisation – appeared with a thicker, fuller and darker head of hair in the photo, which was recently updated on the leadership team’s page on the website.

The accompanying profile on the page praised Harry, 38, for being a “humanitarian, military veteran, mental wellness advocate, and environmentalist”, but it was hard to focus on the glowing profile when the glaring detail in his headshot was hard to miss.

One royal watchdog on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, sniped that “Prince Harry’s new picture on BetterUp does little to deflect from the fact that he’s balding, badly.”

They continued, “I don’t make it a habit to discuss people’s looks, but Harry started it by making fun of his brother for the same. He’s not fooling anyone anymore, and the denial of the obvious is not doing him any favors.”

“His brother accepted his hair loss with dignity, despite his brother’s jokes at his expense. Harry now looks like the fool, again, for refusing to accept that he’s not 25 anymore and needs a different haircut that works with his hair loss.”

The photo comes days after the California-based royal visited Singapore to raise funds for Sentebale, an organisation he set up in 2006 to support children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa.

During his visit, Harry played a charity polo match during which he sported much thinner and lighter hair – a stark contract to his new headshot.

In pictures obtained from the event, Harry’s hair looks visibly thinner as he poses for photos with officials outdoors.

This isn’t the first time Harry has been suspected of needing a little touch-up on his ginger locks. In September 2021, when fronting the cover of Time 100 with his wife Meghan Markle, Harry also appeared to get a little help with the Photoshop Gods seemingly giving him a thicker head of hair.

Harry prides himself on still having his hair, unlike his older, brother Prince William, 41.

In Harry’s polarising book Spare, released back in January, he took a dig at William’s baldness, calling it “alarming” and more “advanced than mine” despite being just three years apart in age.

He also took note of William’s changing looks, writing the future King of England’s resemblance to their mother, the late Princess Diana, had “faded”.

“I looked at Willy, really looked at him, perhaps for the first time since we were little, taking in every detail: his familiar scowl, which had always been the norm in his dealings with me,” Harry wrote.
