In the ever-changing world of reality TV, it can be hard for stars to find their niche. In an effort to become famous, many reality TV stars end up becoming popular for the wrong reasons, and as a result, quickly find themselves painted as villains. Many of these ‘villains’ are created as a result of reality TV stars trying too hard to fit in and leave a legacy. However, there are many reality TV stars who remain true to themselves and quickly become fan favorites.  Although these stars are not perfect, viewers seem to be most drawn to those who they feel are genuine, honest, and real.  Unfortunately, for the women of reality TV, there is often constant pressure to compete for public attention. Sadly, this competition often leaves most reality TV women with a bad reputation that is almost impossible to repair.  However, as in any situation, there are always those who are lucky enough to rise above. Here are 10 female reality TV stars we love so far in 2015.

10. Dianna ‘Miss D.’ Williams

Dianna ‘Miss D.’ Williams, leading lady on Lifetime’s reality series, Bring It, is one of the most dynamic and intense realty TV stars.  Williams, a dance instructor who owns her own studio in Jacks, MS, is the coach of a dance team called the Dancing Dolls.  Each week, Williams and her squad travel across the south to compete in majorette dance competitions.  Although she is hard on her girls, viewers can definitely tell that Williams genuinely cares, and only wants what is best for them.

9. Nicole Zanatta

Nicole Zanatta, from MTV’s Real World Skeletons, seems to be the only level-headed female cast member this season.  During moments of drama in the house, Zanatta always remains the voice of reason.  Her fearless ability to confront her cast mates on their bad behavior has helped her gain respect from her fellow Real World housemates.

8. Brandi Glanville

Brandi Glanville, best known for being a cast member on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is currently competing on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice.  Although Glanville has acquired her fair share of enemies during her time on reality TV, she is currently proving that she’s much more than just a housewife.  After making several power moves on the latest episode of Celebrity Apprentice, several news outlets have put Glanville in the running to be the show’s possible winner.

7. Jennifer Lopez

Since the original judges departed from American Idol, many viewers have feared that the show would not be able to sustain itself.  While there is no doubt that the show certainly is not the same, singer/actress/judge, Jennifer Lopez certainly brings an interesting new dynamic to the show.  Both kind and honest, J.Lo often gives contestants constructive feedback that allows them to see their true potential, or lack thereof.

6. Yandy Smith

Yandy Smith made her reality TV appearance on the second season of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop.  Originally introduced as rapper Jim Jones’ manager, Smith has proven to be an extremely savvy business woman who  is working tirelessly to establish her brand.  Smith has also become a fan favorite because of her uncanny ability to avoid drama, even while being part of a show that essentially encourages it.

5. Karen Gravano

Karen Gravano, cast member of VH1’s Mob Wives, has made a name for herself since the show debuted in 2011. Daughter of former mob underboss,Sammy Gravano, Karen certainly has inherited her father’s fearless behavior.  Although she often finds herself in disputes with her cast mates, Gravano never hesitates to tell the truth, even if it means causing tension.

4. Snooki and JWoww

Snooki and JWoww have been a dynamic duo since appearing on MTV’s hit reality show, Jersey Shore.  Now starring in their own show, the two besties have gone from meatballs to mothers, and viewers seem to be enjoying following the journey.  Although they have their moments, they seem to balance each other out perfectly with Snooki being the clown and JWoww being the more level-headed one. Now in their final season, it is going to be hard to imagine a reality TV world without these two.

3. Khloe Kardashian

Aside from her brief relationship with French Montana, Khloe Kardashian is slowly becoming the only member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan who viewers can tolerate.  Although her family spends a lot of time in the headlines, often receiving negative attention, Khloe is never afraid to speak her mind; often adding a sense of humor to her remarks.  Recently, Khloe spoke out on allegations that her sister’s (Kourtney Kardashian) boyfriend, Scott Disick, had been having a secret affair with her younger sister Kendall Jenner.  Khloe responded to the rumors by tweeting Disick, who was once rumored to be having an affair with her: “…I thought it was you and I that was having an affair!!”

2. Catelynn Lowell

Former Teen Mom, Catelynn Lowell, has remained in the spotlight even years after appearing in MTV’s reality shows 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom.  During the show, Lowell and her fiancé, Tyler Baltierra, were faced with the difficult decision of whether or not to give their young daughter up for adoption.  Eventually deciding that adoption was the best decision, the couple has been able to maintain a relationship with their daughter and her adoptive parents. Recently, Lowell Baltierra, both now in their 20s, welcomed their second child into the world. Although many people criticized the couple for having another child, Lowell has managed to handle all of the negative comments with grace.

1. NeNe Leakes

NeNe Leakes, star of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, is arguably the show’s most popular cast member.  Since appearing on the show, Leakes has taken advantage of several business opportunities.  In November 2014, Leakes was cast as the evil step-mother in the Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.  However, Leakes certainly hasn’t left her Real Housewives roots in the dust, and during the show’s 7th season, she continues to entertain viewers with her feisty attitude and witty remarks.
